Silent Pianos

Silent pianos are both real, acoustic pianos and digital pianos combined.  They allow you to play the piano acoustically when possible but when you want to practice silently you can 'turn the piano off' and play silently through headphones.  This is a great advantage for customers in apartments or who want to play the piano in a room occupied by someone else.  There are other advantages too like being able to play other voices (instruments) such as harpsichord, organ or strings etc and the capability of connecting your piano to a computer via MIDI.  All of this without compromising the touch a feel of the instrument.
