Why buy a second hand piano?

There are many advantages to buying a second hand piano over a new one.  The most obvious advantage is the used piano are generally cheaper than new pianos, offering better value for money. Second hand pianos are already 'played in' meaning you often don't get the teething problems that sometimes occur in new pianos.

You can sometimes pick up a gem of a second hand piano! There are quite a few piano manufacturers that are no longer in business that made some fantastic pianos and the only way you find one of those is second hand.
