Acoustic Piano Delivery Charges

All upright & grand pianos purchased locally are delivered Free Of Charge to a ground floor location. Ground floor means there are no more than 3 steps to the house. Door thresholds are not a problem. If we have any queries we will discuss these with you when arranging delivery. (Post codes that qualify for free ground floor delivery include SL*, HP*, KT*, GU*, CR*, HA*, RG*, W*, RH*, TW*, SM*, CR*, BR*, SW*, UB*, HA*, WD*). Please note that if hiring a piano our standard hire delivery charges will apply.

Delivery outside of our local area (Mainland UK, not including Scotland or Higlands) is £225 for upright pianos and £295 for grand pianos as standard, unless stated otherwise on individual product pages (some new pianos include Free Delivery depending on locaiton). Digital Pianos in stock

We aim to deliver all digital pianos listed as in stock within 3-5 working days. Please note ‘in stock’ means there is available stock with the manufacturer, not that we necessarily have the product physically in stock. We do keep some models physically in stock. If you are looking to collect the piano please wait for confirmation that the product is ready for collection.

Small Goods

Delivery costs for small goods varies from £0, £1.50, £2.50, £3.95, £5.95 and £10. Once you have selected a product and quantity you can view the total delivery cost by clicking Checkout. This way you will know the cost of delivery before parting with any money!

Products in stock

If ordered before 11am, delivery will usually be within 2 working days (normally next day).

Products NOT in stock

If a product is not in stock we will email you to let you know. Depending on the product you order we will then tell you how long until we can get it in stock. We will also ask whether you wish to continue with your order or cancel it.

Returns Policy

All goods and services are sold in accordance with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (SI 2000 No.2334).

This regulation ensures that the consumer is given clear information about the goods and services the supplier is offering, is provided with an order confirmation via email and has a “cooling off” period of 7 working days during which time the consumer may cancel the contract by notifying the supplier of their request to cancel either in writing or by email.
Please note that cancellation of contracts for the purchase of copyrighted goods (all software, CD’s DVD’s, Videos and books) can not be accepted where the item has been unsealed.

Goods that have been ordered specifically to meet a consumers requirements are exempt from these regulations.

The consumer will also be responsible for the cost of returning any goods to us unless the goods prove to be faulty.

We can arrange for the collection of goods at the customer’s expense (UK ONLY), alternatively the customer may choose to return the goods by their own means. Goods being returned from outside the UK must be shipped entirely at the expense of the customer and by their own means.

We strongly recommend that if returning goods by their own means, that customers use an insured courier service as we will not be responsible for the goods until they have been checked and signed for.
Furthermore, the consumer is under a duty to restore goods to us and to maintain them in the condition in which they were supplied by us. If goods are damaged or not saleable as new, Sheargold Music reserve the right to seek recompense accordi
